Join a Cheer Team

At Perfect Storm Athletics we offer 3 types of cheer teams: all-star, prep, and recreational.  Both all-star and prep are competitive programs.
The all-star season starts in May with tryouts.  We generally accept athletes onto these teams until early September pending space and team needs.
Prep begins with team athlete assessments (new athletes only) in May & June.  Practices starting in September.  New registrations generally accepted until early September pending space.
Recreational cheer runs in three sessions: fall (Sept-Dec), winter (Jan-Mar), and spring (April-May, June).  Fall registration starts in June, winter registration starts in October, and registration for spring classes starts in February.

All-Star Cheer Program  

  • Team placements/tryouts for the 2024-25 season take place in May.  Registration opens Feb 19, 2024.
  • Teams for beginners through elite athletes age 5 to adult
  • Teams practice twice a week

Prep Cheer Program

  • Athlete assessments take place in May & June 2024
  • After assessments, families can choose the day/time that works best for their schedule, based on availability
  • Teams for beginners & experienced athletes age 5-16
  • Teams practice once a week

Rec Cheer & Dance Program – perfect for beginners or those looking for less commitment.  

  • No team placements or assessments– simply register!
  • Teams practice once a week
  • No uniform or competitions
  • Several sessions throughout the year
  • Sessions with 8 or more classes include a t-shirt
